“In my work as a neurologist, I have met so many people who were suffering—but let down by the conventional model. Too often, they were told that if medication didn’t work, there was nothing else we could do.
I refused to accept that.”
— Dr. Myers

Meet the Founder

Dr. Robert Myers D.O.

Dr. Myers is a board-certified neurologist, certified headache specialist, and third-generation osteopathic physician. His approach blends cutting-edge neuroscience with hands-on care—shaped by both high-level training and a lifelong connection to the healing power of touch.

Dr. Myers grew up just outside Chicago, in the house next door to his grandfather—a compassionate and exceptional Osteopathic Physician who ran an Osteopathic Manual Therapy (OMT) practice out of his home. Patients came in hurting and walked out moving freely. As a child, Dr. Myers didn’t need research papers to know OMT worked—he saw it with his own eyes.

In their family, OMT wasn’t an alternative. It was the first step. When someone was in pain, you started with your hands, not a prescription pad.

That early experience shaped everything Dr. Myers would later bring into his own medical career: the belief that real healing starts by listening—to the person, and to the body.

OMT Targets in Chronic Pain

Muscle Guarding

• Chronic pain often leads to reflexive muscle tightening (guarding), which limits motion and perpetuates pain.
• OMT techniques like muscle energy and counterstrain relieve hypertonicity, restore range of motion, and reduce nociceptive input.

Autonomic Nervous System Dysregulation

• Chronic stress/pain activates the sympathetic nervous system (fight-or-flight), worsening inflammation and reducing healing.
• OMT techniques (for example, craniosacral therapy, rib raising) help balance autonomic tone, decreasing sympathetic overactivity and enhancing parasympathetic function.

Somatic Dysfunction

• Chronic pain often localizes dysfunctions in joints, fascia, and viscera.
• Soft tissue, HVLA, and myofascial release techniques restore normal alignment and improve proprioception.
